NATIONAL FUND FOR THE DISABLED OF KENYA RELEASES 9 MILLION TO SPECIAL SCHOOLS

The National fund for the disabled of Kenya has today in Nairobi disbursed funds to eleven schools across the country  for disabled amounting to a tune of nine million. 

Speaking to journalists during the function Christina prust the chairperson of the fund has said the schools and regions undergoes a vigorous process to identify  the most needy  school to be given the funds to adress  lack of dormitories, classes and dining halls in the schools.


 The funds are given in three instalments twice or thrice a year to ensure the projects are done to satisfaction of the fund and to limit misappropriation of the funds.By the  end of the projects in the eleven schools the National fund for the disabled will spend a totall of thirty million.


The projects are evaluated at different stages to ensure the contractors and schools heads adhere to the rules of the kitty, so far the funds have benefitted two hundred and fourteen students with tuition blocks across the country with atleast three to four projects in all counties.
