KICC HOLDS MICE FORUM TO SELL DESTINATION KENYA

The Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) has this morning hosted a National MICE forum to announce new strategies to develop and grow Kenya’s Conference Tourism Sector.

The forum  highlighted the position of Kenya in tourism and conference experience revealing business picked  strongly after covid with hotel and conference industry recovering aove that has boasted arrivals and revenue.


According to Chief Executive officer of KICC James Mwaura who spoke during the forum majority of meetings were held in Nairobi and Mombasa and a few in Naivasha thus need to spread the business across the counties.



 Training and capacity building of sector players to boost  partnerships should be carried out to push for  holding of sustainable meetings that protect the environment during  this climate change error.Bidding to get the conference  is crucial to drive business to Kenya as venue and  logistics play a major part in the attractive of the destination.


The meeting resolved to developing national mice strategy and  promotion of the destination Kenya with  Nairobi boasting of  twenty thousand rooms per night.
